DIRECTIONS
From the SOUTH & MIDLANDS:
- Leave the M6 at Junction 10A and take the M54 towards Telford.
- Stay on this road as it becomes the A5 and pass through Shrewsbury, Oswestry & Llangollen.
- Turn off the A5 about 6 miles after Betws-y-Coed and take the A4086 through the
spectacular Llanberis Pass towards Caernarfon.
From the NORTH:
- Leave the M6 at Junction 20A and take the M56 towards Chester.
- Continue along this road around Chester as it eventually becomes the A55 and pass through
St Asaph, Abergele, & Colwyn Bay.
- Stay on the A55 past Conwy and through the coastal tunnels until you approach Bangor and
Anglesey.
- Leave the A55 at Junction 9 and turn onto the A487 towards Caernarfon.
From CAERNARFON:
- Travel south on the A487 out of Caernarfon and fork right onto the A499 Pwllheli coast road.
- Drive approximately 7 miles until you reach Pontlyfni (notice garage on right).
- One mile further on, turn right at small crossroads.
- Follow narrow lane down to the green and leave car.
- 'Niwl-y-Mynydd' is over the bridge and halfway along the beach.
THE LOCAL AREA
There are many lovely walks along the beach and up quiet country lanes
and seals and sometimes porpoises, are regular visitors in the bay so
binoculars are highly recommended. Fishing can also be enjoyed on the
beach.
